Pitless Type Weighbridges

Pitless truck weighing system has many benefits over other types which makes it preferred type of truck weighing system. It does not require construction of costly concrete foundation, takes less time to install, easy maintenance as all the components are above the ground level. It requires more space as compared to pit type which is at the ground level and no ramps is required.

*In Pit less weigh bridge RCC ramp work must be required at least 3 meters for both side for easy movement of vehicle.

Benefits of Pitless System

For Pitless type, costly pit construction is not required as it is surface mounted and no foundation work is required.
Since the platform is above ground level, there is no water logging problem during rainy season.
Construction and maintenance of pit is eliminated. Also the maintenance is easy since all the weighing equipments are easily accessible including load cells and junction box by removing the top cover of the deck.
Easy maintenance since all parts accessible above ground level.
It is economical as compared to pit type as there is no cost involved in construction of pit. Also it can be installed in quick time.
As it is surface mounted and would be at some height in case of pitless type, RCC or steel ramps must be required at least 3 meters on both sides for movement of vehicles.
