Usage of Zinc Oxide Active

• In large proportions, zinc-oxide active, NK-Abehaves like reinforcing filler. It give vulcanizate high tensile strength and rebound resilience with a simultaneous increase in hardness. It also imparts resistance to ageing and protection against flex cracking.
• Successively larger additions raise the degree of cross linkage and thus improve the mechanical properties of the vulcanizates, especially the modulus, resistance to abrasion and tearing.
• As its proportion is increased, the thermal conductivity of rubber mixes is raised which is an advantage in hot air curing.
• Owing to the fineness of particles, RT-2 is very easy to incorporate and disperses well.
• It raises the viscosity of the mix. Large additions stiffen the mix considerably
