The difference between each truck scale is relatively simple. A pit type weighbridge is exactly that, a system that sits in a pit. All of the mechanisms, wiring, and load cells reside underground, allowing the weighing surface to be completely level with the ground.

A surface mounted weighig system simply sits on top of the ground. It requires ramps for vehicles to drive on top of the platform.

It can have MS Steel platform or RCC Concrete Platform. It requires lesser space and is long lasting. These are available from 10 T upto 150 T with load cell ranging from 4 to 10 load cells.
