- Nashik-Solapur-Akkalkot Highway project is a 6-lane, access-controlled high speed greenfield highway project.
- The corridor connects Nashik to Solapur and major national highways like the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Vadhawan port interchange, Agra-Mumbai corridor at Nashik, and the Samruddhi Mahamarg.
- The Length of the the highway is 374km
- Project cost is approx. 19,142 Crores.
- Nashik-Solapur-Akkalkot Corridor is expected to cut travel distance by 201 kms and cut travel time by around 17 hours.
- Nashik-Solapur-Akkalkot Highway is designed to travel at an average speed of 60 km/h, with a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
- This project is executed as build-operate-transfer (BOT) model and is being seen as India’s largest Build-Operate-Transfer Road Project.
- This highway creates one continuous high speed road network from North India to South India.
- By linking western ports and industrial zones with the Deccan and Southern States, the highway will cut travel time, reduce logistics costs, and boost trade.
