Fire Extinguisher

Fire Extinguishers are the most common type of fire fighting equipment particularly for small fires. It most of the fire, it happens to be the first mode of defense against fire. It is easy to use and can be applied by anybody with little training. However there are different types of extinguishers which should be used for different classes of fire. ABC Fire Extinguisher can be used for all 3 types of fire namely A, B and C. However in case of fire involving area which uses costly electrical equipments and devices, co2 type or foam type extinguishers should be used as they leave no residue after fire which saves these equipment from damages. In a small and confined area, co2 type or foam type extinguishers should be used with caution as after usage the area is filled with harmful co2 gas after removing oxygen, which when inhaled could be fatal.
